Timed Responses Resources Occassionally, a web page will require a user to take action within a certain time limit or the web page may change, disappear or require the user to repeat previous steps. In any case where a web page requires that a task be completed in a certain amount of time (including reading text that may change on a timed basis), the user must be notified of the time limit and also be given a method of requesting more time. While this is an uncommon feature to most web pages, it is important to remember this if applicable. Special Note Regarding Instruction: An instructor may use a web page to present material and require a timed response (such as an online quiz). In this case, because the need for a timed response is instructional in nature, it is acceptable to impose a time limit. Students with documented disabilities and accommodation needs should request accommodation in this case and the instrutor can work with Disability Resource Services (DRS) to verify the accommodation need.
