Text-only pages should be used ONLY when there is no other
way to create accessible content for your web pages. A text-only page
is not an option to avoid modifying existing content to be accessible.
When creating text-only pages, keep the following conditions
in mind:
- A text-only page must be modified and updated anytime the primary
page is
- The link to the text-only page should be located near the top of the
primary page for easy access
- Creating a text-only page means you are maintaining two versions of
the same web page
- The text only page should remove all tables, frames, images, scripts
and any other components that rely on third-party applets
