Adding Titles to Frames in FrontPage

To modify the title of a frame, access the Frame Properties by right clicking on the frame.

Welcome! This viewlet will demonstrate how to add a descriptive title to a frame. It should be noted that any frames used in a web site can cause accessibility problems, even if all the steps to make frames accessible are followed. As a rule, use of frames should be avoided.

In the name field provide a name about the function of the frame. Be sure that the name is descriptive so that a screen reader can describe its contents. After modifying the name click OK to exit the Frame Properties screen.

To be considered accessible every frame on the web site must be given a descriptive name. However, even if each frame is properly named there is no guarantee that a person using a screen reader will be able to fully access the web site. For that reason, use of frames should be avoided.
